This Ferro alloy is used as an alloying agent in the manufacturing of steel. It increases the strength and toughness of steel and thereby enhancing the overall properties of it. Both Silicon and Manganese have a strong infinity for oxygen and therefore acts as deoxidisers, which results in cleaner and stronger steel.
